MMCC Pro Thinwall Wiring Kit, 30A

Complete kit for building a wiring harness. This kit has been put together by us here at MMCC using the same components we use in all our builds.

KIT CONTENTS:

CABLES

Our cables are insulated in thin-walled PVC, resulting in a much slimmer and lighter wiring harness without compromising on safety and durability. This makes it easier to conceal wiring on custom builds, particularly those with limited space.

Thinwall cables are around 32% lighter and 22% thinner than standard cables!

Our 1mm² cables have a black tracer making identification easier when wiring up.

For high temperature, low voltage automotive applications.

Suitable for use at temperatures from -40°C to 105°C with excursions up to 120°C.

Suitable for 12V & 24V systems (maximum 60V).

The PVC insulation offers good resistance to abrasion and cut-through, and good resistance to petrol, lubricating oils and diluted acids.

Cores manufactured to ISO 6722-1:2011 (Class B) 105°C.

Plain Copper Conductors to BS EN 60228:2005 - PVC Insulated.

The total length of cables is more than enough for the great majority of builds.

EARTH JUNCTION BOX

7-way common earth block connector with screw terminals and set of flat-pin terminals.

Block has two 5.4mm diameter cable entries and five 4mm diameter cable entries.

Base has an M4 mounting hole.

DIODES

Our kit comes with 2 x 1A diodes allowing you to connect an LED indicator warning light to both the left and right side indicators without causing crossover/leakage. A common issue with older bikes that have converted from incandescent warning light bulb to LED.

CONNECTORS

Japanese style, brass bullet connectors and ring terminal builders kit.

Bullet connectors are our preferred terminal style for building custom harnesses. We tend to use these exclusively on our builds.

Non-insulated connectors are far less likely to come away from the cable, particularly when insulated with the PVC covers which act as an additional fastening device.

Bullet connectors take up far less space when compared to most other typical connector options.

Can be crimped, soldered, or both. We recommend using our crimping tool (sold separately) to ensure a long lasting reliable connection.

Specifications:

Bullet terminals are the 3.9mm size and are designed for use with 1.5mm² to 2.5mm² cable, however they can be crimped to 0.5mm² and 1mm² cable. Maximum current is 29 amps.

Ring terminals suitable for use with 0.5mm² to 2.5mm² cable.

BRAIDED CABLE SLEEVING

Flexible, expandable, braided sleeving pack in black.

Durable and incredibly versatile. The braided construction allows expandability up to 150% or more for quick and easy installation over large connectors and long installation runs.

Braided from black, polyester monofilament yarns.

Wide operating temperature range.

Resistant to chemical degradation, UV damage and abrasion.

Suitable for exterior use, in engine bays and on open chassis.

The open construction of the weave allows the loom to dry out when they get wet. Braided sleeving will not trap moisture and rot looms like conventional PVC tape can.

Can be cut to length with scissors. To prevent the ends from fraying, use heatshrink over the ends or a soldering iron to melt the end slightly, binding the filaments together.

Please be sure to allow enough length when measuring your requirements. When using over cable bundles larger than the nominal diameter the sleeving shortens.

Includes nominal diameters of 3mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm and 16mm. The nominal diameter is the approximate diameter of the braid in it's natural, unexpanded state.

HEAT SHRINK

This 3:1 ratio heat-shrink is a dual wall adhesive lined tubing manufactured from flame retardant, cross-linked polyolefin. 

Provides excellent waterproofing and moisture protection.

The high shrink ratio makes it ideal for sealing irregular shapes.

WOVEN CLOTH HARNESS TAPE

Replicate that OEM look with our woven polyester cloth tape

Max temperature rating of 125° makes it especially useful for use in engine bays and warm environments.

Unlike PVC tape, cloth tape is able to dry out, preventing excessive moisture being trapped in the wiring loom.

NON-ADHESIVE LOOMING TAPE

Black PVC tape used for wrapping wiring harnesses looms. Replicates that OEM look. Perfect for custom wiring harnesses.

Being as it's non-adhesive, if you have any issues with your wiring, the wrap can be unwound to access the wires, then wound up again.

Self extinguishing and very easy to work with.
